Company Description
SMARTELLA is an eLearning company with offices in the UK and a team based in Egypt. Smartella is looking for a senior PHP developer who is willing to upskill in Wordpress advance skills and Moodle. Smartella will provide training in both Wordpress advanced skills and Moodle. This position is remote (work from home) fulltime.
Responsibilities:
- Help in creating a wordpress plugin that uses Moodle API.
- Modify existing open source softwares (Moodle, wordpress) to add new features in the way of plugins, amend existing plugins, fix bugs, or improve performance
- Flexible skills to be able to learn new technologies quickly and easily migrate between different PHP based platforms.
- Create a simple SaaS dashboard.
- Manage the Google Cloud Platform account.
- Responsible for deploying on the cloud.
- Unix / Linux Server management .
Job Requirements
Skills
- PHP (advanced level)
- Wordpress plugins development
- Knowledge of SaaS concepts
- Quick learner (training will be provided)
- Experienced in building and consuming web services , RESTful APIs
- Strong knowledge in Object Oriented Programming
- Strong knowledge in MySQL
- Experience in HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX
- Experience with Woocommerce
- EXCELLENT English skills (reading, writing and speaking)
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Nice attitude
- Good time-management skills
