Job Description

Responsible for the financial health of the organization. Produce financial reports, direct investment activities, and develop strategies and plans for the long-term financial goals of the organization.

  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions
  • Oversee financial department employees, including financial assistants and accountants
  • Contract outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary
  • Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
  • Seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company
  • Research and analyse financial reports and market trends
  • Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
  • Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports
  • Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meetings
  • Someone who's detail oriented enough to read this line and write 'proofreading' as an answer to the last question along side the expected salary
  • Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes
  • Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company
  • Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Financial Manager
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or in retail will be a plus
  • Previous possible roles such as financial analyst
  • Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
  • Proficient user of finance software
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
  • A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
  • BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
