About the Job
  • Responsible for the development and oversight of the execution of business strategy and objectives translate this into financial budgets and forecasts necessary to execute within budget to achieve the strategy and objectives.
  • It requires a strong leader who has a proven track record of effective executive customer engagement skills, strong influence internally and across the marketplace, and experience in the travel sector and/or an equivalent fast-paced technology organization. Success will be measured by growth and profitability exceeding objectives in the overall market, and individual competitor growth rates.
  • The successful candidate will have strong prior experience leading a global business and sales strategy.

R E S P O N S I B I L I T I E S & D U T I E S

  • Establish the strategy for growth and revenue generation for new and existing global business which includes renewal, conversion and new sales for a portfolio of leading Online Travel Agency clients and driving changes to the commercial model in order to move to a product-led organization and assuring that the strategic direction of the Company is implemented to maximize profit and to establish Eg-gate as key leader in the online segment
  • Full accountability for leading business development and sales efforts focused on delivering an overall growth strategy for the online business
  • Deliver on revenue and commercial commitments through execution on the growth strategy, cost optimization, and product differentiation
  • Drive changes to the commercial model and bring new revenue streams that deliver sustainable profit as well as market share growth
  • Provide clients with a consultative value-added sales and technical experience while also building long-term, strategic relationships
  • Responsible for selling world-class products and services through profitable renewals, conversions and new sales development
  • Provide adequate resourcing and management of the online business across matrix structure to achieve the commercial goals, ensuring the right structure, people and skills sets are in place to achieve the stated goals
  • Provide solution investment priorities to Marketing for product capabilities needed with corresponding sales/revenue potential based on customer needs and competitive differentiators
  • Foster strong relationships with internal leaders/stakeholders across the company; build two-way communication to ensure opportunities are shared and explored
  • Build a world-class team focused on excellence in execution and identify opportunities by instilling a market-driven approach as an integral part of the company’s success
Job Requirements
  • EDUCATION: Business or Engineering degree, MBA preferred.


  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive Senior Executive Leadership and Sales experience, preferably with software services, IT or professional services company
  • Extensive commercial experience with strong eCommerce /OTA experience
  • Business development or similar commercials roles ( > 10years)
  • Strategic and account planning capabilities, with P&L Management
  • Online travel agency experience ( > 7 years)
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen
  • Extensive understanding of the online marketplace including competitive information, key trends, opportunities and threats.
  • Ability to lead complex negotiations (High-level revenue/profit software and or services deal experience)
  • Proven ability to manage and influencing global cross-functional teams within a matrix organization a must
