Job Description
Main Duties:
- Conducting research on network products , services , protocols , and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
- Managing servers , including e-mail, antivirus , domain, FTP and training servers and their associated operating systems and software.
- Managing security solutions, including firewall , anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.
- Managing all network hardware and equipment, including routers , switches and UPSs.
- Ensuring network connectivity of all workstations.
- Administering all equipment,hardware and software upgrades.
- Practising network asset management , including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
- Administering and maintaining and end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Performing server and security audits.
- Performing system backups and recovery.
- Monitoring and testing network performance and providing network performance statistics and reports.
- Recommending , scheduling , and performing network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
- Managing and providing guidance to junior members of the team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science , engineering , or equivalent
- performing network design and capacity planning.
- Developing, implementing and maintaining policies , procedures and associated training plans for network resource administration , appropriate use, and disaster recovery.
- Establishing service level agreements with end users .
- Performing installation , configuration , maintenance , and troubleshooting of end users workstation .
- interacting and negotiating with vendors , outsources , and contractors to secure network products and services.
