Job Description
- Plan, execute, monitor, track and report large-scale technology projects using traditional
- and Agile development processes & techniques.
- Act as a Scrum Master for 2-3 Agile teams and mentor and coach team members on
- Agile principles and methodology
- Understands and enforces the development and unit testing
- Lead, Arrange and facilitate all Agile ceremonies including, Stand-ups, Reviews,
- Retrospectives, Grooming, and Sprint & Release planning
- Tracking and communicating team velocity and sprint/release progress to all affected teams and management using Agile estimating techniques
- Facilitating discussion and conflict resolution in order to improve team productivity while promoting continuous improvement
- Responsible for making sure that daily task status and hours are being updated by the team on TFS to provide transparency on product and sprint backlogs
- Facilitating teams in making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition
- Develop and maintain project plans, resource utilization and schedules for multiple simultaneous projects and operational activities
- Coordinate and drive project activities to deliver required functionality on time and within budget
- Closely monitor project resources, tasks, risks and milestones. Make course corrections when necessary using defined change control procedures
- Anticipate any potential risks or issues with the project through quick responses and proactive critical thinking.
- Apply proper CR & incident management methodologies
- Support the Product Owner in managing customer expectations for deliverables
Job Requirements
- 5 + years of experience as a Project Manager managing software development projects, with 2+ years working with server-based technologies, PMP preferred.
- Solid understanding of SDLC models and Agile and traditional project management practices and the ability to blend them together to it a specific project/environment.
- Experience overseeing cross-functional project teams including representatives from Development, Product Management, Marketing, QA and Technical support.
- Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating and team building.
- Strong planning and organizational skills with an ability to manage shifting priorities and competing demands.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Microsoft Project, Visio and all Office Tools.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
