Job Description
We are seeking a Lead Back-End Engineer of senior level to manage our system infrastructure and scale our platform for more robust/mass usage. The developer's responsibilities involve PHP development in a Symfony framework, and management of the entire back-end system architecture.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee the back-end system architecture with a focus on consistency, re-usability, security, and stability
- Coordinate with front-end team for supporting features in the back-end
- Follow a work-flow for periodical platform releases
- Inspect the system periodically for threats and act accordingly
- Develop risk mitigation plans and worst-case scenarios
- Optimize server usage, and ensure proper logging of all server activities
- Suggest and implement improvements for back-end
- Perform duties as needed
Job Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 3+ experience in the field
- Passionate, innovative, and results-oriented
- Passionate about the latest best practice and technologies in server management
- Strong knowledge of Symphony framework
- Excellent skills in PHP development
- Previous experience using GIT in a team work flow
- Strong knowledge of Linux commands
- Good experience with databases
- Clear, concise and structured thinker and communicator
- Good project management skills, very organized
- Ability to work under pressure
- Quick learner, and adapts to new technologies easily and quickly
