Job Description
- Troubleshoots problems with production and takes corrective action
- Researches the purchase of equipment or upgrades to existing equipment and reports to Engineering Manager.
- Evaluates vendor proposals for new equipment purchases.
- May collaborate with other engineers (licensors/suppliers) on application for improving production processes.
- Responsible for executing and implementing maintenance programs for production equipment.
- Examines equipment for repair and suggests improvements.
- Performs any required engineering assignment to ensure the maximum machine output with minimum emission to environment.
- Participates in any auditing of the company’s production facility carried out by the licensors.
- Provides the required on the job training for the departmental employees.
- Identifies the required technical training for departmental employees.
- Secures the compliance with the quality, environment, safety requirements according to national and international standard (ISO 9001, 14001).
- Identifies, records and updates the various aspects within the department and their impact on the environment.
- Participates in setting implementing and amending the environmental programs.
- Determines and identifies the emergency situations in the department.
- Ensures that the disposal of waste in the department is effected in line with the waste management policy.
- Carries out periodical environmental awareness sessions to the employees in the department.
Job Requirements
- B.Sc. in Mechanical.
- 7 years relevant experience is required
