Job Description:
- Responsible for the efficient and effective use of molds & tools and associated utilities needed to ensure achieving goals set by the organization and its customers.
- In addition, develop & implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes to produce high quality products.
Job responsibilities:
- Responsible for creating & implementing all internal and outsources tooling activities.
- Monitoring daily activities in the department to ensure meeting deadlines, quality & cost standards.
- Designing and executing the preventive maintenance plans for the working molds in the factory.
- Provide manufacturing assistance & technical support to day to day tooling activities.
- Follow up and supervise the department’s employees to insure the execution of the preventive maintenance plans and the repairing operations in a safety way and on their specified timings.
- Identifying and analyzing molds break downs and work on preventing their reoccurrence.
- Insure the availability of the standardized spare parts for the moulds.
- Design parts drawings & manufacture quick spare parts that perish regularly for the molds.
- Making a daily working plan and establishing priorities.
- Working on developing and improving the performance of machines and employees in the department.
- Supporting the internal audit process both as Auditor and Auditee as requested.
- Supporting Quality Procedures in creation and compliance.
- Maintaining associated records as requested.
- Insuring that employees abide by the instructions of the industrial safety which includes the none occurrence of injuries or any damage to either the machines or the factory.
- Coordinating with the quality department to resolve any problem concerning the quality of the product.
- Identifying and requesting the department’s needs of employees, machines & other resources.
- Liaising with different vendors & suppliers when required.
- Promoting energy efficiency, resource conservation, and best management practices throughout the facility, increase personal knowledge of resource/energy management, helps raise the level of awareness among all employees.
- Promoting effectiveness and performance improvement throughout the organization.
- All other duties as requested from time to time.
Working Conditions:
- As specified by the Company; the Tool Engineer must follow established Environmental and Health & Safety practices.
Job Requirements
- University Graduate (BA in mechanical engineering) or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
- Experience in Tool making and machining processes - Mold making experience is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Ability to priorities and complete work assignments by specific deadlines.
- A strong relationship builder and capable of operating at all levels within the organization.
Organization Structure:
- The Tool Engineer regardless of other duties has a direct responsibility to the Tooling Cell Leader
