Job Description

We are looking to expand our desk with a Full Stack PHP Developer with 3+ years’ commercial experience to take a role in the development of our client facing on-line applications as well as our internal systems. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join a modern web development team with much usage and knowledge of current web trends and technologies

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assisting in the development of our client facing online applications as well as improving our internal systems legacy and future ones.

This would include:

Maintaining and enhancing existing applications.
Developing new applications in conjunction with support from more senior developers.
Writing documentation for the portions of applications you involved in.
Conducting testing of applications.

Job Requirements

Good working knowledge of:

Object Oriented Programing concepts and design patterns
PHP >= 5.4
MySQL
JavaScript
Code repositories (. GIT or SVN) is recommended

Preferred experience:

Full-stack MVC frameworks, especially Zend2 or Symfony2 or Laravel
Windows and Linux CLI
Bug tracking tools (. Redmine/Trac/JIRA)
Experience in full stack software development in Agile teams following SCRUM's, user stories, agile estimation

Essential skills or experience:

Ability to work within a pre-existing team.
Experience of working in an environment where products have to be delivered to specific time-scales.
Ability to understand a brief and deliver what was required.
Ability to ensure high code quality.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills.
Be a keen learner who is always looking to improve skill levels.
