Senior Construction Project Manager - Aswan

Based in Aswan, the Senior Construction / Project Manager will lead multiple projects in Civil and/or Electromechanical works on the Benban 2GW Solar Park, the largest Solar Park worldwide to realize Civil works for Fences, Roads, Site Grading, Foundations and temporary facilities and execute Electromechanical works for the construction of ground mounted Utility Scale Solar PV Systems.

EgySolar and its sister companies Motaheda Construction and Motaheda United Express of the Motaheda Group, are currently operating as subcontractors for the main EPC contractors of the different projects.

Job Duties include:

• A senior project manager at EgySolar will be in charge of aspects of time, costs, and execution of infrastructure and electromechanical works in multiple current or future projects
• Will supervise and lead site engineers
• Monitoring progress, providing financial control and ensuring project quality
• Devising cost-effective plans and methods to enable effective completion of the project
• Managing risks to avoid delays
• Ensuring necessary permits and legal papers are secured prior to project commencement
• Ensuring internal and client's Health and Safety requirements as well as Quality requirements are being met
• Plan through to completion, project managers have overall responsibility for the successful conclusion of the projects assigned to them.
• Collaborate with owner engineers, Main contractors and technical department to determine the specifications of the project
• Manage and issue change orders and requests for informations
• Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
• Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
• Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
• Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
• Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
• Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities
• Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed
• Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
• Ensure adherence to all quality, health and safety standards and report issues
• Handle intermediary and final handover to the client
• Contribute to estimations and preparation of proposals
• Nourish a strong local network and generate new Business leads from other projects
