Responsibilities
Overseeing the budgeting & forecasting function including:
- Working with management on building a financial plan including (sales expectations, hiring plan, marketing budget, capex, cash flows, etc.)
- Monitoring & updating the budget on a monthly basis
Overseeing the financial analysis & reporting function including:
- Analyzing & interpreting the company's financial results & variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances
- Analyzing all costs data for actuals, monthly forecast and annual budget
- Ongoing analysis of unit economics
- Producing monthly reports to the management with commentaries and analysis
- Preparing monthly board packs to investors
Managing and supervising the operations of the accounting team including:
- Ensuring up-to-date book-keeping
- Tax reporting & filing
- Coordinating with auditors
- Maintain banking relationships
Spending & Financial Control:
- Conducting reviews and evaluations for internal cost-reduction opportunities
- Supervise & manage the flow of cash receipts and disbursements
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics or related field. MBA preferred.
- 4+ years experience in finance.
- Excellent knowledge of financial reporting standards.
- Financial analysis & modeling skills.
- Experience in tech./startup companies in a plus.
- Loving food is a plus!
