Job Description

EgySolar and Motaheda Group is seeking a QHSE officer to develop, implement, maintain and improve the QHSE system to support the sustainable development and execution of Infrastructure, Civil and Electromechanical works.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement & update quality, safety and health system, including developing document templates, checklists and forms.
  • Provide hands on in the work place direction, guidance, and support on Quality Method and Standards issues
  • Support management of document and audit processes
  • Assist with supervision of existing process for regular inspections on sites, and assist in coordinating and supporting incident investigations of site incidents
  • Deliver a continual improvement culture with the goal of zero injuries or serious accidents
  • Review continually the HSE legislation, and provide advice/recommendations to the organisation to ensure operational best practices & compliance
  • Manage safety works with Safety site teams.
  • Support Site teams in creating content for HSE induction, toolbox meetings and training.
  • Performing all the Health, Safety, Environment responsibilities (HSE) for company according to the HSE management system and Codes as per ISO requirements.
  • Revise HSE Plans, Training Schedule.
  • Collect Data and maintain HSE statistics as per industry standards
  • Study and be aware of project contract, specs, drawings & BOQ
  • Insure that all works are inspected based on the final approved drawings and RFIs.
  • Create bi-Weekly Quality Reports.
  • Issue & follow up approval of method statements.
  • Inspect all materials delivered versus approved Material Submittal & insure completeness.
  • issuing IR, MIR and distribution to concerned team members
  • Presence in all meetings and sharing info with concerned parties
  • Coach, Control & supervise HSE and QC Site Engineers
  • Own the certification process and lead the company towards ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION:

  • BSc/MA in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or relevant fields
  • NEBOSH certificate
  • OSHA certificate

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years experience in QHSE in construction, infrastructure or O&G
  • relevant recent experience, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 compliance and certification process experience

SKILLS:

  • Fluent in English
  • Have a proactive approach and be very 'front line' with QHSE
  • A passion for influencing culture, training and taking a hands-on approach to influencing our business and building on the strong safety commitment and culture
  • Motivation and a commitment to innovation and executing best practices
  • Effective communication skills at all levels of business
  • Outstanding time management skills
