Job Description

EgySolar is seeking a Business Controller / Financial Analyst who will act as a business partner to the CEO and the Senior Management of EgySolar and Sister Companies in Motaheda Group. This position will optimize financial performance of the Business Units and drive the business to improve performance in sustainable manner.

The ideal candidate is business and commercial minded. He partners up with other functions outside of finance. He is active, aggressive, externally focused and future oriented. With his strong network in operations, procurement, business development and finance, s/he will build business plans and define ways to identify gaps, opportunities. In order to really know what drives the business, s/he defines ways to measure and report on the key indicators of it.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate between Finance and the Business Unit teams ensuring a reliable program profitability information through leading the Strategic Plan, Budget-P, Forecast, Actual-P and Squeeze by the Business Unit process
  • Supporting each Business Unit in understanding and optimizing the profitability, preparing the monthly reporting packaging and tracking key commercial actions
  • Monitor and evaluate each step of a project to ensure it is meeting budgetary and deadline goals
  • Oversee Project Budgeting and Scheduling
  • Generate, consolidate and present project reports to senior management
  • Suggest and manage changes in project processes
  • Advise the company's financial department and business leadership using your research, analysis and experience to develop business and financial recommendations, provide budget feedback and assist leadership in key financial decisions
  • Advise on Budget creation using financial analysis and forecasting to design and oversee the execution of the company budget
  • Complete regular financial analysis, identifying and managing finacial risk, completing financial research, performing economic forecasting, analyzing business units' and group's overall performance and managing financial data
  • Report financial findings and work with financial and executive staff to make financial decisions
  • Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data.
  • Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential and contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics required
  • MBA, CPA or CMA preferred

Experienced:

  • 4 years experience in reporting, consolidation and financial analysis. Experience in construction industry a plus

Skills:

  • Fluent in English & Arabic
  • Highly motivated and ready to work in a challenging environment, you will get part of an entrepreneurial project. Implication and results are the keys of your success within the group
  • Accounting/GAAP knowledge
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and written/oral communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Strong initiative and ability to manager multiple projects
  • Strong follow through skills and ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Strong personal drive and ability to work independently as needed
  • Ability to work well with others
