Job Description
A Danish company is hiring Senior Drupal Developer to work in an excellent offshore development environment in Cairo, with possibility to travel to Europe once or twice a year.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new and improved solutions leveraging Drupal
- Work with project team members to clarify business requirements, develop technical scope and documentation, as well as write, test and maintain Drupal code.
- Gather and communicate technology requirements both to and from customers. Build upon and maintain a high-performance & scalable platform hosting multiple external and internal websites.
- Rapidly iterate on platform features, developing new modules and elegant solutions using Drupal API. Write front-end code using Drupal theming engine, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript. Participate in design and architecture reviews of new applications and major system enhancements.
- Demonstrate a strong customer service ethic and a positive can-do attitude
Job Requirements
- Experience working with Drupal 7 & 8
- Experience creating custom Drupal modules
- Experience of PHP development, Symfony framework, PHP files and theme functions, and knowledge of the Drupal theme layer
- Experience in MySQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
- Very good experience with HTML5/XHTML and CSS
- Ability to write JavaScript with and without the use of frameworks such as jQuery
- Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
- Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector
- Ability to understand CSS changes to have consistent style across platforms and browsers
- Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
- Experience developing web solutions in Drupal and PHP implementations in a LAMP/WAMP environment
- Ability to architect enterprise Drupal solutions including data, display, and information architecture
- Advanced site-building experience including deep familiarity with Drupal modules
- Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, Testing) and exposure to Agile or iterative SDLCs
- Experience working with PHP, JavaScript, and jQuery & React is Nice to have
