Job Description

  • Ensure delivery of new design concepts for all digital channels including web, mobile, tablet, promotional, social and email channels to achieve business vision and objectives
  • Develop a cohesive online Style Guide that aligns with the overarching brand strategy
  • Create and oversee website landing page designs and other site imagery and content, promotions creative and layouts from user-centric perspective
  • Lead design and wireframe reviews and prototyping process, proposing design solutions to increase engagement, loyalty, conversion
  • Design using industry best practices within the standards and parameters of the brand to ensure deliverables represent project goals and brand positioning
  • Apply disciplined messaging hierarchy and prioritization within creative to drive targeted consumer behavior to achieve business objections
  • Manage and mentor a small team in e-commerce design and digital graphic design: delegating, providing feedback and guidance, and ensuring high quality on-time delivery while acting as the lead designer
  • Ensure the work of internal team members and external agencies adhere to brand guidelines and design best practices and support achievement of commercial objectives
  • Incorporate best practices and competitive ecommerce design experiences, usability testing and other user research programs to inform user-centric design

Job Requirements

  • Professional understanding of design principals and disciplines, including layout, color, contrast, tone and typography
  • Exceptional organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize them and carry them out independently to consistently meet deadlines with accurate and detailed results
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, people management and team skills, ability to collaborate and build productive working relationships with partners, management and staff.
  • Strong understanding of the latest web technologies and their capabilities
  • Skilled at designing from the perspective of guiding consumer on shopping journey toward completion of desired actions to achieve goals such as increased conversion.

Education and Experience

  • BA degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Interaction Design or related field
  • 6-8 years’ experience designing for e-commerce sites, responsive and mobile site interfaces, email campaigns, UX and interaction design
  • Must have an online portfolio demonstrating strong visual design experience, ecommerce and interactive design
  • Expert at Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Experience using wire framing techniques to show navigation, flow and interaction details
  • Experience with web languages: HTML, CSS, Javascript
