Job Description

  • Provides leadership for developing, implementing and maintaining Mercy Ardmore's Patient Relation Patient Service program. Through daily rounds, provides consultation and support to frontline staff and leaders on how to respond to patient requests and complaints in a timely and positive manner.
  • Acts as a liaison between patients, family members, physician, co-workers and the organization's administrative staff ensuring that patients receive all services and care they are entitled to. As a patient advocate
  • Handles all aspects of patient concerns/issues. Investigates reviews and responds or facilitates resolution of patient complaints.
  • Manages the service recovery program. Assists patients and/or families in interpreting hospital policies, procedures, services and patient rights and responsibilities.
  • Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values and Mercy Service standards.
  • He shares information on the services available as well as whom to contact. He also instructs the patient when she will need to obtain and use medical equipment to assist in her recovery after she leaves the hospital or clinic.
  • He may also survey the patient to determine if she is satisfied with her care or to identify any issues she needs to be addressed

Job Requirements

  • Education: BS/BA Health Care Services
  • Experience: Five years experience in healthcare related field
  • Data systems, verbal and written communication skills, and excellent customer service skills.
