Restaurant Purchasing Supervisor – Food & Beverages

This role will provide oversight of the purchasing of food and services from suppliers. The Purchasing Supervisor will lead the development and implementation of sourcing strategies, while maintaining responsibility for supplier quality performance, setting the standard cost of purchased foods on an annual basis, and ensuring that business expectations of purchasing are met.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily purchasing functions
• Reviews orders, decisions and contracts and oversees materials and services from suppliers.
• Performs negotiations and determines most competitive solutions using a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
• Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
• Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation
• Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
• Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
• Assess, manage and mitigate risks
• Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
• Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
• Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
