As the General Ledger Accountant, your responsibilities include:
- Execute daily general ledger transactions
- Execute month end and year end closing activities re-lated to general ledger
- Record supporting information for all journal entries
- Perform all assigned support through general inquiries and timely to meet audit deadlines
- Monitor overhead spent throughout all cost centers and pro-actively go after and implement cost reduction
- Interface with management in various departments all in accordance with Accounting Standard.
Main Responsibilities:
- Vendor Management (Invoice booking, account reconciliation and respond to the queries)
- Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
- Manage/prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Investigating and resolving accounting queries.
- Maintains internal controls by following the policies and procedures.
- Review of the monthly expense reports of the employees as per the policies of the company.
- Compilation of a detailed annual audit file.
- Compilation of a detailed TAX filing.
- Preparation of annual accounts and management of year end local audit cycle.
- Assist in complying with the timely completion of monthly closing.
- Assist in the timely submission of the deliverables.
Job Requirements
- 3 to 5 years relevant experience in an accounting role.
- Experience with General Ledger controls and transactions
- Governmental experience.
- Financial Consolidations (including multi-currency environments)
- Experience within the big 4 is preferred.
