Job Description

  • Contact between the client and project team for business analysis with insurance domain expertise.
  • Also responsible for program management of various Business Analysis assignments in liaison with the overall program manager.

Domain Knowledge (Insurance)is Must

Candidate should be well versed with following Insurance domain knowledge but not limited to:

  • End to end Insurance life cycle process – Both life and non-life
  • Prospect/opportunity capturing by Insurance Agent
  • Deep understanding about insurance products for Life and Non-Life Insurance Products
  • Knowledge about Retail and Corporate Insurance products including Group policies
  • Have working knowledge on customer experience or customer relationship management for insurance client
  • Should have knowledge on insurance brokerage and partner eco system and managing the partners/brokers
  • Insurance product sales and servicing process knowledge
  • Insurance regulatory and reporting needs
  • Should have insurance claims knowledge

. Should have knowledge about insurance underwriting process

  • Islamic Takaful knowledge is a plus though not mandatory
  • Insurance approval and policy issuance processing knowledge
  • The candidate should have experience minimum 8 years of experience in insurance domain having worked in an insurance company or insurance Domain in software space.

Business Analysis Expertise:

  • Requirement Gathering: Ensure business requirements are clearly and completely documented in pre-agreed formats and signed off by business users & translated to technical specifications. Engage with the client in interactive requirement gathering session demonstrating domain and solution knowledge and industry best practices. Organizing meetings with stakeholders for capturing requirements and turning them into an SRS document.
  • Solution Mapping: Ensure functional requirements are fully met by proposed IT solution. Appreciation & understanding of the Technology platforms including packaged solutions relevant for the industry
  • Process Discussions: Capturing as-is and to-be processes with respect to the business. Conducting business process improvement meetings with our clients.
  • Documentation: Developing requirements documents, functional specs with wireframe diagrams and process charts
  • Requirements Management: Capturing detailed scope of change requests.
  • Pre-sales: Presentation of similar projects and related products to the prospects on visits. Engaging in Proof-Of-Concepts engagements held in client premises. Developing proposal scope, initial high-level implementation plan, licensing requirements
  • Training: Preparing training materials, conducting training.

People

  • Develop and manage the relationship between IT and business units
  • Maintaining client relationship
  • Supervise and guide the project & development team and ensure they are given the required support
  • Liaise with pre-sales and sales team for product demo and presentations

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Graduate
  • MBA preferred
  • Professional certificate in Business Analysis/Insurance preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the similar role
