Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Partner with project stakeholders to ensure effective planning and requirements definition.
- Analyze requirements, deliverables, results, etc.
- Assist in performance requirement definition.
- Perform risk analysis.
- Ensure consistency and adherence to organizational practices.
- Build and evaluates quality checkpoints.
- Review, monitors and summarizes progress of project testing activities - including performance testing and test case automation.
- Review reports regarding status of project.
- Active participant in all phases of the project lifecycle. Work with project stakeholders during project definition to help the team understand risks, dependencies, and opportunities; participate in requirements definition and review; lend subject matter expertise to projects.
- Develop test strategies, test approaches for performance and automation events
- Suggest and implement process improvements that will accomplish team, department and business goals.
- Striving for efficiency, consistency and effectiveness
- Provide mentoring or coaching to software developers and QA testers.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of testing, including manual & automated testing, security testing, performance testing & methodologies, software development practices
Required experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent degree and/or experience
- Ability to organize and lead testing efforts and the ability to write a test approach/strategy.
- Technical skills and programming languages should include but is not limited to: Java, JavaScript, Python, C++, Perl, Python, Ruby, HTML, QTP/UFT, JUnit, JMeter
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
- Experience working in an agile engineering environment
- Demonstrate knowledge of Quality Center, ALM, Jira, Rally or related tools
- Familiarity with software testing (unit, integration, functional, regression).
- Experience with source control, build and deployment tools such as Subversion, Jenkins, Maven, Git, TeamCity, Hudson.
- Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks such as Cucumber, Gherkin, Ruby, Selenium, etc. - BUT especially Selenium
- Familiarity with web services standards and related technologies (XML, SOAP, JSON, etc.).
- Experience working on Linux/Unix and Cloud environment – Salesforce and Workday is a plus
- Knowledge of database query tools and ability write and run SQL queries
Preferred experience
- Experience using the following tools - Quality Center (QC) and Quick Test Professional (QTP), and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
- LoadRunner or Performance Center
- Experience with defect reporting & analysis and the ability to conduct test risk analysis.
- Experience with XML and possess the ability to update, edit, and create test data in using XML and an understanding of HTML.
- Experience testing Consumer facing websites
- Must be able to multitask and work independently or in a team
- Excellent verbal, written communication and documentation skills
