Job Description
We are looking for young sales engineers who have excellent problem solving skills, are able to cater to customer needs, are capable of supporting with product development, have excellent presentation skills and the ability to explain technical issues to nonengineers.
- Reaching out to new clients (including agriculture, residential, industrial, commercial, etc.) while being willing to travel 50 % of the time to the outskirts of Egypt to visit potential clients.
- System sizing for clients based on their needs and based on the technical requirements and constraints.
- Developing long-term relationships with clients through managing and interpreting their requirements.
- Putting together technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet clients needs.
- Constant market research to stay up to date with the market and the competition.
- Preparing quotations to participate in tenders in coordination with the technical team.
- Negotiating tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs.
- Attending conferences and other solar industry related events.
- Familiarity with financial models and an ability to understand balance sheets, cash flow and income statements.
You will also support the department with the following:
- Social Media management (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn).
- Marketing (Photoshop skills are a bonus).
- Administrative support (document & resource management).
- Research (varied).
- Exposure efforts (trade fairs/conferences/panels).
Working conditions
- Daily working hours are typically from 9am – 6pm consisting of 8 hours per day with 1 hour break.
- Overtime will be necessary when required.
- Weekends are rarely used except in situations where there are deadlines to meet.
- Percentage of travel within Cairo and other governorates: 50-70%.
Job Requirements
Requirements
- Preferably a BSc. in Engineering with any specialization.
- A minimum of 1-2 years as a sales engineer, preferably in the energy/solar sector with experience in working with the agriculture, residential, industrial, and tourism sectors.
- Analytical thinking
- Written and verbal communication
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Detail-oriented and highly organised
- Strong presentation and IT Skills (Microsoft Office)
- Research experience
- Able to work under a deadline
- Fluency in written Arabic and English
