Job Description

Job Purpose / Summary :

  • The job holder is responsible for receiving day to day issues from the Infra Senior and help desk system, acquiring any additional/incomplete information from requester as well as prioritizing and assigning issues accordingly. he is responsible for following up with the procurement department on the status of the requested equipment and the repair process of the defected items.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Service Desk Administration
  • Have Knowledge of Cisco routers, Firewall (Cisco ASA/Fortinet), Network Switches and Wireless devices.
  • Maintain LAN/WAN, Internet/Data line, VPN, Network Planning & Implementation.
  • Monitor network usage and security
  • Creating policies, traffic shaping, user management, controlling users for internet access, bandwidth usage Reporting.
  • Content filtering and website filtering
  • Manage and Administrate Load Balancer/PEPLINK device/WAF network devices
  • Undertake routine preventive measures and implement and implement maintain and monitor network security
  • Install and maintain network services, equipment and various devices
  • Install , Manage and Administrate servers which includes both physical and Virtual environment (VM Ware).
  • Server configuration/hardening/upgrade
  • Help in Managing Domain controller, Microsoft Exchange server, Symantec Messaging Gateway (SMG), Kaspersky Enterprise Antivirus
  • Applying OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities . Configure / Add new services as required
  • User and group management, Access restrictions, Security , Shared folder and permissions
  • Responsible for LAN/WAN related activities including performance monitoring and monitoring Remote users on programming guidelines.

Service Quality

  • Install new /rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage etc.in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.

Communication Management

  • Regularly checks the allocation list and issues all required tickets for new comers’ preparation.
  • Communicates with the HR & the facility teams to solve any problem regarding the employee’s allocation

Service Desk Administration

  • Follow up the service desk hot line during the main working hours.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science communication or computer science
  • Technology related certification
