Job Description
- Provide Microsoft SharePoint 2013/2016 administrative support for a large customer within the DoD community. The Administrator will be tasked with assisting in the deployment and maintenance of Microsoft SharePoint 2013/2016 architectures.
- Responsible for AD Sync status; SQL Jobs (Backup, Portfolio, other scripts); Windows Scheduler jobs; Windows Event logs reviews for errors & warnings; Backups (SQL, Template, SharePoint, IIS); SharePoint Sites and Usage Analysis.
- Plan for and install service packs, hotfixes, updates and patches during off-peak time as required and communicate any downtime to business.
- Deploy new capabilities including Web Parts, Features and Console Applications to the SharePoint Servers.
- Troubleshoot operational issues that may arise in the SharePoint environment.
- Responsible for custom solution development using either SharePoint Designer or Visual Studio utilizing JavaScript, JQuery (or related libraries) and CSS3/HTML5.
- Work with a dispersed team of systems administrators, engineers, managers, and customers.
Working Conditions:
- Administrator will perform duties on a normal business day schedule with some flexibility for start time.
- Administrator may be assigned to a location remote from the server facility.
Job Requirements
- User provisioning and management is required.
- Related IT certifications is preferred (SharePoint).
- Related College degree preferred (Bachelor and/or Master degree in Computer Science or Information Systems) or a combination of related experience and education.
- Experience developing/configuring in SharePoint Online a must.
- 3-5 years minimum experience in SharePoint 2013/2016 Configuration & Design/Customization.
- Strong understanding of how o365, OneDrive and Sharepoint interact.
- Knowledge of how to build a company intranet using Sharepoint online preferred.
- Broad understanding of Document/content management systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels in the company including the ability to present and articulate complex solutions to senior management.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Must be able to gather, translate, and implement user requirements to technical solutions.
- Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
