Job Description
Looking for a senior-level freelance Or / Full time technical writer who knows what developers and IT professionals need to know. When they need to know it.
An expert on the cloud computing technology and/or the AWS Cloud Adoption Framework.
- Can understand and navigate the new solutions and architectures emerging from the mix of established and cutting-edge cloud technologies.
- Can have a proven experience transforming subject matter expert (SME) concepts into useful and actionable guidance for developers and IT Audience.
- Can point us to published works or provide samples that show your focus on IT audience and your deep technical understanding.
- Can easily move from understanding, or even better writing sample code for developers to explaining the benefits of specific cloud computing scenarios to enterprise-level decision-makers.
- Can get hands-on with cloud technology to validate existing technical documentation and other guidance to ensure that readers get accurate descriptions and instructions.
Job Requirements
Required qualifications.
- 5-7 Years of technical writing experience
- Excellent research and analysis capabilities
- Proven ability to work independently through the entire process of developing documentation (plan, design, write content, review, and publish)
- Flexible availability.
- Self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills, flexibility and the ability to handle priorities.
- Able to develop strategy for information architecture and documentation infrastructure.
- Experience producing release notes and product documentation.
- Minimum 3-5 years of content development experience with enterprise class applications.
- Work effectively in an environment where tools, processes, and work you're doing are not necessarily pre-defined.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical information.
- Demonstrated ability to compose clear and concise technical written communication.
- Background in creating documentation for data centers.
- Understanding of and the ability to communicate essential skills and techniques for effective technical and business writing
Preferred qualifications.
- Messaging certified.
- Ethical hacking or any security certifications.
- Experience in technical solution implementation in a data center or cloud services environment.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Communication Engineering, Computer science or relevant field
- Native English language and Excellent writing skills in English
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-tasks
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- MCSE certified, 5-7 year Experience of IT or dev work
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and the role of Amazon AWS in providing on-demand computing services
- Virtualization knowledge (VMware).
