Job Description

  • The Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator will contribute to the development, uptake, delivery, and technical direction for the school learning management system.
  • The LMS Administrator will manage all technical delivery aspects of the LMS with the selected vendor on behalf of it for instructors, users, while supporting new product development, contribute to product extensions, and will be responsible for customer service internally and externally.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

LMS Administration

Function as the primary technical expert of the LMS and perform duties associated with that role, including:

  • Administration and maintenance of all content including testing and troubleshooting and working with the vendor to resolve issues.
  • Perform user registration, course/test completions, standard reporting, and maintenance of learner records.
  • Administration of eLearning courses including creating and managing courses, user reporting, user setup and maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Able to provide help desk support for users both internally and externally both through e-mail and via telephone.

Product Management

  • Support eLearning events and associated CEU products to meet funders goals while ensuring the highest level of users support and satisfaction is exceeded.
  • Collaborate internally with all the internal and external users.
  • Serve as an important liaison with the all Information Technology team.
  • Manage customer support.
  • Create surveys, user manuals, FAQ documentation, policies, guides, and other related materials.
  • Manage the roles, securities, and permissions within the LMS.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience with learning management systems, online training, surveys, and customer support.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably with major coursework in information systems.
  • Knowledge and experience with adult learners in the early education field preferred, but not required.
  • Moodle.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop (or other graphics editing software).
  • Strong computer software skills, including demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Prior knowledge and use of audio & video editing software helpful.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid customer service commitment.
  • Resourceful, team-oriented and responsive to the needs of members, customers and staff.
  • Recognizes the influence of workplace relationships on outcomes and results.
  • Collaboratively and creatively supports the work efforts of colleagues at all levels and in all areas of the organization.
