Job Description
Job Objectives:
- Plan, direct and manage the activities of foreign and local buyers.
- Develop and execute purchasing, sourcing strategies and protocol.
- Ensure purchasing and sourcing compliance with company policies.
- Managing the company’s supply portfolio ensuring transparency of spending
- Generating and implementing efficient sourcing and category management strategies
- Analyzing and calculating costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure
Job Accountabilities:
- Manage foreign and local purchasing cycle for the company.
- Develop department policy and procedure.
- Arrange vendor contracts, bargain for best costs, and observe quality of the purchased materials.
- Select sources based upon analysis.
- Evaluate international suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the suppliers’ reputation and history.
- Set the criteria for selecting different suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate with internal / local suppliers for contracts.
- Expedite purchase orders by identifying and resolving vendor or shipment problems.
- Take corrective actions in case of any conflicts or violation towards national laws and regulations from the company’s side.
- Work closely with the planning department to start purchasing according to the production plan previously set by planning team.
- Review & approve all payment documents before submitting to finance.
- Contribute all PR on the different sections in the department.
- Approve all orders before sending to supplier.
- Approve all comparisons and ensure that the selected supplier meet the required quality, best price and other conditions.
- Lead the sourcing team members to find the suitable source for the required materials or services.
- Monitor the sourcing procedures and strategies in order comply with the corporate vision
- Improve the cross-functional activates of sourcing team.
- Execute cost reduction commitments through the identification, development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Prepare monthly / quarterly reports to monitor the department performance.
- Leads supervisors and senior specialists to achieve department objectives
- Develops, implements and maintains procurement policies and review on a regular basis to ensure best practices.
Job Requirements
- Relative Bachelor degree and related post studies is a must.
- Previous related experience with minimum 10 years. (FMCG, Pharma or cosmetics).
- Conceptual thinker; can project future needs and requirement and translate into annual plans.
- Proactive, analytical with strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities.
- Fluent in English.
