Job Description

About the Job:

  • KarmSolar is rapidly expanding with more than 45 MWs of committed projects to be implemented over the coming 18 months. As more local and international interest is building up in the solar sector it is our challenge to design a business model that would allow us to expand the investor base in our solar stations.
  • We are looking for talented people to join our team with the mission of building the proper investment mechanisms that would allow international and local investors to participate in our expansion. This is not a typical job as it involves creating an investment mechanism for a nascent sector with great potential.
  • KarmSolar is keen on maintaining its position ahead of the local and regional markets through adopting creative technical, commercial, and financial mechanisms that would allow it to grow and benefit the community. The investment team will be at the heart of the financially creative models that we will build and scale over the coming year.

Job Purpose:

  • Provides investment information and financial advice; works with corporate and individual shareholders; manages communication between the company’s management and its investors; maintains knowledge of a wide range of investment and financial products; deals with investment bankers, private equity funds, individual & institutional investors and international financing institutions to lead initiatives of fund raising of the different projects, as well as on the corporate level.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Engages in regular research and reading to stay apprised about the state of the economy, financial markets, and general current events.
  • Works closely with investment analysts to assess financial information and investment opportunities.
  • Presents investment opportunities and related analysis while pitching proposed course of action in management meetings.
  • Uses financial models to project future earning and profit potential and uses this data to inform decisions and proposals.
  • Helps investors make informed decisions on their actions regarding the company’s equity.
  • Meets with IBs, PEs, IFIs, to seek potential financing opportunities of the company’s future projects and assets under development.
  • Takes on high levels of responsibility on behalf of financial institutions, individual & institutional investors, and PE funds.
  • Works on the preparation of investment presentations and data visualization of investment opportunities to the company’s various stakeholders.
  • Produces annual and quarterly reports to show the company progress and provides qualitative information such as the company’s business model and strategic direction.

Working Conditions:

  • Location: Zamalek office.
  • Daily working hours are typically from 9am – 6pm consisting of 8 hours per day with 1 hour break.
  • Overtime will be necessary when required.
  • Weekends are rarely used except in situations where there are deadlines to meet.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics.
