Job Description

Job brief:

  • We are looking for a driven Social Media Specialist to attract and interact with targeted virtual communities and networks users.
  • The goal is to gradually achieve superior customer engagement and intimacy, website traffic and revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing road map.
  • Social media specialists should have a solid understanding of how each social media channel works and how to optimize content so that it is engaging on those channels.
  • You are responsible for joining relevant conversations on behalf of the brand and “soft selling” the product by providing support to current and prospective customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification.
  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action.
  • Administer all company social media accounts ensuring up-to-date content.
  • Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content.
  • Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community.
  • Report on web performance metrics.
  • Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules.
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on social traffic and ROI
  • Facilitate client-company communication (respond to queries, get reviews and organize chats and Q&A sessions).
  • Research how emerging social networks and features can benefit our company.
  • Collaborate with other departments (customer relations, sales etc.) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions.
  • Stay up-to-date with new digital technologies and social media best practices.

Contributions:

  • Liaise with writers and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing.
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies on social media.
  • Assist in Social Media Content Idea.
  • Coordinate with the Social Media Manager and the Marketing department to design advertising campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product development teams to create social ‘buzz’ regarding new product launches

Job Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Social media strategist or Social media manager.
  • Hands on experience using social media for brand awareness.
  • Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics.
  • An ability to identify target audience preferences and build content to meet them.
  • Familiarity with web design and publishing.
  • Excellent multitasking skills.
  • Ability to identify target audience preferences and trends.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Time management and multitasking skills.
  • BSc degree in Marketing or relevant field.
