Job brief:
- We are looking for a driven Social Media Specialist to attract and interact with targeted virtual communities and networks users.
- The goal is to gradually achieve superior customer engagement and intimacy, website traffic and revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing road map.
- Social media specialists should have a solid understanding of how each social media channel works and how to optimize content so that it is engaging on those channels.
- You are responsible for joining relevant conversations on behalf of the brand and “soft selling” the product by providing support to current and prospective customers.
Responsibilities:
- Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification.
- Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action.
- Administer all company social media accounts ensuring up-to-date content.
- Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content.
- Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community.
- Report on web performance metrics.
- Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules.
- Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on social traffic and ROI
- Facilitate client-company communication (respond to queries, get reviews and organize chats and Q&A sessions).
- Research how emerging social networks and features can benefit our company.
- Collaborate with other departments (customer relations, sales etc.) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions.
- Stay up-to-date with new digital technologies and social media best practices.
Contributions:
- Liaise with writers and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing.
- Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies on social media.
- Assist in Social Media Content Idea.
- Coordinate with the Social Media Manager and the Marketing department to design advertising campaigns.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product development teams to create social ‘buzz’ regarding new product launches
Job Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Social media strategist or Social media manager.
- Hands on experience using social media for brand awareness.
- Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics.
- An ability to identify target audience preferences and build content to meet them.
- Familiarity with web design and publishing.
- Excellent multitasking skills.
- Ability to identify target audience preferences and trends.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Time management and multitasking skills.
- BSc degree in Marketing or relevant field.
