DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drive the analytic needs of the business by working with key business stakeholders to develop well defined reporting requests that drive business value.
Translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to implement the required reports and dashboards, created from multiple data sources.
Develop and manage reports/dashboards and semantic layer for key stakeholders.
Develop ETL code sourcing data from operational systems into data warehouse.
Coordinate and facilitate business stakeholder engagement and user acceptance testing for business intelligence initiatives.
Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members.
Work with BI Team to design and deliver ongoing training program for internal customers/end users.
Work with team to achieve timely resolution of all production issues while meeting and/or exceeding SLAs.
Research new technologies, including tools, components, and frameworks as the business and technology industry continue to evolve.
Manage process of performance tuning ETL/reports/dashboards and tune SQL used to create the report/dashboards.
Design and implement process & technology best practices, guidelines and repeatable processes with a focus on continuous improvement efforts.
Lead projects on an as needed basis.
Provide regular status reporting to the BI Team.

Education and skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
Experience with PL/SQL, SQL, ETL tools required.
Experience with Database architecture and design
Experience with major ERP systems as it relates to reporting and business intelligence is a definite plus.
Experience with BI tools (SAP BO,Tableau) a plus.
Familiarity and experience with system roll-outs,design/management, and developing/implementing enterprise-scale reports/dashboards, Data Warehouse Design and Dimensional Modeling is highly desirable.
Experience with JavaScript is a plus
Ability to concisely communicate complex ideas to audiences at different levels in the organization (both in written and verbal communications).
Ability to work collaboratively with various levels of business users, IT department, and vendors to resolve business and system issues in timely manner.
Creative problem solver and critical thinker; able to bring a solution to bear without having to be asked.
