Job Description
- Be present during all camps (Spring, Summer, Winter & Sleep over camps)
- Support counselors in setting up the camp
- Assist Leap in orientating camp staff (prior to and during camp)
- Provide training and induction sessions to camp counselors
- Supervise all camp staff and assign additional duties as needed
- Plan daily activities as needed
- Develop, post and announce camp schedules to all concerned parties.
- Liaison with school Personnel - as to school rules, buildings and equipment during camp days
- Enforce camp rules and regulations; model leap standards for camp staff, camp counselors and campers
- Support and guide the development of camp counselors in each camp group
- Manage all permanent camp facilities, check conditions of camp grounds before and after each group; inform school personnel of needed repairs and equipment
- Purchase any additional camp supplies, that are needed beyond the regular ordering of food and camp supplies
- Make sure that the camp grounds are always neat and clean
- Oversee the packing up of all supplies and equipment on closing day of camp; make sure that all containers are properly sent back to the storage
- Record daily camp attendance for both campers and counselors
- Maintain a record of any adhoc bills accompanied by original receipts
- Document all camp incidents
- Submit final camp report to Leap of all records, camp incidents, inventory sheets, equipment needed and other recommendations, staff evaluation, etc. within two weeks of close of camp.
- Set a clear process for counselor’s payments and selection process in alignment with HR
- Develop a detailed schedule for all action items that are required pre & post camp
- Prepare a list of all required materials per camp and coordinate with purchasing team to ensure they are delivered on time.
- Conduct pre camp training to all counselors to ensure they have good understanding on what needs to be delivered.
- Prepare the on ground plan for campers and counselors distribution during the camp
- Handle all required admin work during the camp
- Develop all Required forms for campers and counselors
- Ensure that the counselors attendance ratio is aligned with the campers enrolled
- Collaborate with leap administration for registration forms, allergy, emergency contacts, ect…
- Manage Meals agreement .
- Develop pre/post camp checklist
- Monitor all activities on the ground and ensure that all activities are conducted in timely manner
- Manage parent’s complaints and feedback.
- Main Focal point with school admin & parents during the camp days
- Ensure Kids safety during the camp and manage any emergencies
- Activity backup plan for all camps
