Job Description

  • Responsible for managing the IDM Purchasing team to implement the Req. To Check (Receive the request to check / ensure the suppliers payment) for the all IDM purchases\services. Portfolio,:-
  1. 1- Marketing Activities 2- IT Hardware 3- Transportation 4- Stationary
  2. 5- Meals/Catering 6- Annual Gifts 7- Logistics 8- Security Contracts
  3. 9- Service Providers 10- Furniture
  4. 11- Tools/Spare Parts - Mechanical 12- Tools/Spare Parts - Electrical
  5. 13- Chemicals/Paints 14- Outside Processing 15- Selling Scrap 16- HSE/Uniforms 17- Building maintenance
  • Purchase the IDM Technical / Non-Technical items (High Value items).
  • Lead the team to achieve the company targets in terms of Cost saving, Availability, Payment facilities and Ext……..
  • Lead the IDM team to achieve the VAT:-
  1. V = Purchase with the best value.
  2. A = On time in full deliveries.
  3. T = Provide to IDM customers with the latest technology available in the market.
  • Apply / Update the min – max. Plan for the high runners.
  • Ensure of implementing the company / purchasing policies (Purchasing policy / Procedure, Code of Conducts, conflict of interest, Separation of duties and Extr…..) within the IDM team.
  • Set the IDM purchasing strategy for the assigned purchasing division.
  • Manage the team to set the sourcing strategy for the assigned commodities.
  • Manage the team to prepare the IDM annual Budget actions for the assigned commodities in contribution to the Procurement Budget
  • Manage the team to plan and execute actions to achieve, secure and exceed the budgeted savings.
  • Manage the team to identify additional backup actions to recover deviation vs budget.
  • Manage the team to analyses the market for potential new suppliers.
  • Control the RFQs (Request for quotations) to suppliers
  • Lead the team to negotiate prices and conditions with Suppliers
  • Prepare and manage the 12 Month Cost saving Activity Plan.
  • Manage the team to prepare the FBS and vendor selection criteria.
  • Manage the team for continuous market analyses to search of new potential suppliers.
  • Manage the team to develop and maintain a strong and reliable supplier’s base.
  • Support Plant Procurement Manager in his\her tasks and objectives
  • Ensure an up to date administration of documentation, databases and required reporting
  • Provide the organization information to\from suppliers
  • Day-to-day liaising and support of IDM customers and other functions in relation to their respective tasks

Job Requirements

  • Qualifications: B.Sc. of mechanical engineering, commercial, or economic studies
  • Experience: : 7~10 years’ experience (At least 5 years as a technical purchasing manager)
  • Skills: Excellent English language skills
  • Excellent Computer literature
