Job Description
Edfa3ly is one of the top startup in the MENA region. We are operating in more than 8 countries and we are expanding our business very rapidly. We consider our software is the backbone of all of our operations, so we are expanding our team as well to support this expansion. We are looking for talented PHP Software Engineers to join our team.
As a software engineer @Edfa3ly you will have the following responsibilities:
- Maintaining and enhancing existing applications.
- Ability to work across multiple products that use different programing languages
- Designing and programming of clean, reusable, testable, and maintainable code.
- Development of a robust set of services and APIs to integrate with different third-parties
- Perform code review on other engineers code
- Writing documentation for the components you work on
- Managing and contributing to our applications infrastructure
Job Requirements
We expect all of our developers to constantly learn and always chase new technologies and concepts. As a junior php developer we expect you to have the following:
- 3-5 years experience in the software development industry.
- B.sc. in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of OOP and PHP programming language.
- Experience working with Design Patterns and MVC architecture.
- Working experience with one or more of PHP frameworks (Symphony, Laravel, Yii2, .etc)
- Working experience with designing and scripting SQL/NoSQL databases
- Experience with REST APIs and Messaging Queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, .etc)
- Experience with git workflows is mandatory
- Good knowledge working with Linux Infrastructure
- Knowledge of Agile processes and tools like JIRA
- Knowledge of other programming languages like Python, Node.js is a big advantage
- Ability to develop unit tests using PHPUnit is a huge plus
- Working with Docker and AWS is a plus
