Job Description
- Provide effective and efficient IT desktop assistance across all aspects of MAKS Development ITC systems along with providing back-up and support to MAKS Development Managing Director.
- Responsible for supporting and maintaining Microsoft File Server, Microsoft SQL Server OS and Desktop operating systems in MAKS Development H.Q. plus installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all ITC-related Hardware/Software when and if applicable.
- Responsible for responding and delivering IT remote support calls to City Stores branches across Alexandria Governance.
- The position provides exposure to a broad range of IT-related projects and activities and requires timely, efficient, self-driven and motivated, accountable and proactive responses.
- Responsible for providing 1st line support to the Perfecto ERP system used in all branches, the candidate will act as focal point for reporting critical system errors to the developers in a timely fashion.
Responsible for the following in MAKS Development Egypt sites and offices:
- Managing Network Attached Storage backups and offsite backup rotation.
- Passive-active LAN/WLAN/Backup components/clients, UPS systems and hardware appliances when and if applicable.
- Provide desktop, notebook and server installation, customization, support, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance services.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues as they occur on the following:
- Administrating ERP System.
- Install, configure, support and maintain MS Server/MS Professional and other MS OS versions, Client ,Company Security and Anti-Virus Systems, Company Office Packages.
- Setting up and configuring new laptops and desktops hardware, Passive/Active Network Components, IT cabinets, printing and Imaging devices, NAS units and Security Appliances if and when applicable.
- Install Company IT authorized software to company laptops, desktops, and Smart Phones when applicable.
- Ensuring planned security and upgrades are periodically applied and maintained by himself on company desktops, laptops, NAS units, Wireless Access Points and internet lines in company H.Q. and branches.
- Reporting faults, firmly maintaining logs and site documentations on company desktops, laptops, NAS units, and Wireless Access Points and all other IT/Comms infrastructure components and/or changes in the above mentioned Region of Operations as well as sending daily action reports.
- Requesting IT hardware spare parts, services and aggressively following up with vendors , 3rd party suppliers and 3rd party Service Providers.
- Carry on and meet MAKS Development IT Department training and certification when and if the need arise as discussed and instructed by MAKS Development IT Manager or his designated person(s).
- Ensure that all MAKS Development IT policies and procedures are met and followed, honoring the confidentiality, importance and sensitivity of the position held and responsibilities and quality of service delivered that comes with it.
- Send daily action reports.
Job Requirements
- Sound knowledge and understanding of ERP solutions and platforms is a must, retail and / or restaurants is a plus.
Very Good awareness and hands on experience on the below:
- Installing, configuring and troubleshooting Firewall Appliance namely Cyberoam UTM is a plus.
- Installing, configuring and troubleshooting LAN,WAN in most common topologies with different media types, Network Security Solutions with IDS and IPS, and contents filtration, using MS-tools and integrated 3rd Party Hardware and Software.
- Installing, configuring and troubleshooting MS-Servers, MS-Desktop OS,ITC Hardware, IT Power Redundancy systems and Backup.
- Storage Solutions and common IT Hardware devices with their different brands.
- Documentation and reporting
- Fluent English language, written and spoken
- Self disciplined, hard worker, fast learner, very dedicated, have no problems in working after working hours and under stress.
- A college degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or Accounting is a must.
