Job Description

Enhance Digital is a Dubai-based innovative, venture-backed, Silicon Valley style technology business holding company that builds leading online businesses for the Middle East and Africa that enhance the lives of their users. Enhance currently wholly owns Middle East’s leading online gifting platform JOIGIFTS.com and holds minority shares in global leader in medical travel MEDIGO.com. Enhance will launch other online businesses in 2018 to rapidly build its database of digital users. We have funding in place, lofty goals and big plans for our future. We are looking for rock stars to join our growing team to learn, have fun, and build great businesses together.

  • Our CTO is a superstar that will be part of our senior management team in charge of digital product development, innovation, and technology roadmap.
  • CTO will manage our current technology team of 10 engineers in Cairo and grow it as needed.
  • He will implement best practices so our web (.NET based on AWS) and mobile (iOS and Android native apps) technology becomes a strategic differentiator for Enhance where we are implementing the latest technologies in the most efficient manner to delight our customers.
  • CTO is responsible not only for joi’s technology stack but for that of future Enhance’s business models.
  • He is the official manager of our Cairo office.

Job Requirements

Technical Qualifications:

  • Previous e-commerce experience
  • Platform ASP.NET MVC 5 and .NET Framework 4.5.2
  • MVC Web Api
  • Programming Language C#
  • JQuery, CSS3, Bootstrap
  • SQL Azure for Database
  • Backend Control Panel: AngularJS 1.4.7
  • Server infrastructure: AWS and Azure
  • Mobile Apps: Native Coding / Swift for iOS / Android Java for Android
  • Scrum based software development methodologies

Personal Qualifications:

  • Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science; Master’s or higher degree preferred
  • Work Experience: 7+ years in software development and 2+ years in software development team management for teams 10+ people in highly ambitious companies
  • Communication Skills: Highly capable and efficient communicator in written and spoken English and Arabic with ability to work with remote teams using tools such as Slack
  • Problem Solving: Highly analytical and data-driven with the ability to think and perform both tactically and strategically
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze, articulate, and solve complex problems and concepts to make effective business decisions
  • Team Work and Leadership: Able to work side-by-side with a broad range of functions and levels, lead and inspire his team members and run necessary HR and admin duties expected from the office manager
  • Energy and Attitude: Proactive, energetic, self-starter looking to have significant business impact; almost always positive with can-do attitude infecting his team with the same
