Job Description
- Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
- Develop web services using PHP.
- Design and build sites and backend databases using PHP + MySQL.
- Produce detailed specifications.
- Create site layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS Javascript / AJAX practices.
- Integration of data storage solutions (may include databases, key-value stores, blob stores.... etc).
- Integrate data from various back-end services and databases. Good knowledge of relational databases, version control tools and of developing web services
- Experience in common third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, online payment methods…. etc.)
- Understanding of open source projects like Joomla, Drupal, Wikis, osCommerce, WordPress.....etc.
- Testing for application bugs
- Designing the application according to specifications / Coordinating with designers, administrators, and other programmers
- Prioritizing tasks and daily activities / Organizing projects
- Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
- Create and maintain software documentation.
- Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our built sites, backend databases and web services.
- Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality.
- Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities.
- Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent.
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.
- Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary.
Job Requirements
- Must be proficient in PHP (Coding by hand).
- Must have knowledge of MVC frameworks Like (preferred Laravel, Codeignitor, PHPCake,...etc).
- Strong working experience with object-oriented programming & template systems
- Plugins & module programming, Creating modules and plugins
- Must have experience using MySQL, HTML, Javascript, JQuery, Bootstrap and CSS.
- Understanding of security issues and accessibility issues.
- Must have a good awareness of web standards and compatibility issues.
- Must have experience using APIs and SDKs (commercial and social)
- Computer Science, Engineering or related subject.
- Knowledge of Agile Management system.
- Be excellent in written/spoken English.
- Nice to have dedication and commitment towards work.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfort with PHP Unit and Unit Testing is a big plus.
