Job Description
- A leading company in tableware trade in Egypt is seeking for Branch Manager - Sales Operation who will manage sales workforce of all sectors, retail, hotels, and restaurants, and support functions essential to sales force productivity.
- These include planning, reporting quota setting and management, sales process optimization, sales job design, sales training, sales program implementation, and recruiting and selecting of sales and support functions force talent.
- Responsible for overall productivity and effectiveness of the Branch. Reporting to the Vice President, she/he also works closely within internal and external stakeholders to ensure the appropriate objectives and priorities are enabled within the branch sales operation.
Responsibilities:
- Drive sales growth strategies and ensuring that these strategies are adopted in all levels of the department.
- Develop improvement plans that are based on sales performance reports and surveys to achieve branch strategy.
- Implement consumer segmentation, targeting, and positioning initiative that assist senior sales management / executive in deciding resources allocation based on the internal requirements and external market.
- Assist in the identification of solutions and technologies that drive sales efficiency and, consequently, revenue growth.
- Oversee sales analytics, sales tracking, sales effectiveness, and reporting of sales performance to ensure sales performance meet expectations.
- Enhance the manner in which data is collected and reported within the sales department to ensure high quality and accurate reports are provided.
- Conduct market analysis in order to identify opportunities for growing the business's sales and communicating key messages.
- Provide smart consumer research and industry specific information as well as prepare weekly / monthly / quarterly / annually reports to report progress on activities.
- Identify market trends and tracks key competitors and on a regular basis, conducting competitive and SWOT analyses to identify opportunities and threats.
- Develop sales reports for Executives and relevant stakeholders as well as driving the adaptation and usage of sales automation solutions.
- Work with cross-functional teams, such as the marketing department, in the business in order to develop innovative integrated plans and strategies for the purpose of reaching manually agreed upon targets.
- Work collaboratively with the human resources department in determining the criteria for the department's recruitment so as to determine effective performance in the department.
- Identify and understand trends within the market and amongst consumers to acquire new customer accounts.
- Pursue opportunities that increase sales volumes for the business and keeps track of prospective markets and consumers, developing processes that communicate key differentiators of the business / product in order to attract those prospects.
- Attend and actively participate in sales events, seminars, and workshops, establishing the business as an industry leader while simultaneously identify, and capitalize on many prospects.
- Perform other duties as he deems necessary in the execution of her/his functions or duties as assigned by the Chairman and the Vice President.
- Act as an active member in HORECA and retail Supplier / Agent Committee to reach consensus on prospective products to be imported and opinion of price to ensure marketability and sale and fast ROI.
- Maintain sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees to ensure continuity of operational activities.
- Provide ongoing training of staff on product knowledge and presentation and the display of the product to the clients to ensure they are able to carry out their role successfully.
- Develop salary structure for the branch to ensure fair pay practices.
- Handle special projects such as opening of Hotels and high-end clients to ensure they receive excellent customer service and receive products that match their needs.
- Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions to meet company objectives.
- Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
- Visit clients in governorates to maintain rapport and to study the competitive products and the prices on display in their stores.
- Determine sales strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and departmental sales records to achieve department objectives.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies to keep current with updates.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed to increase operational effectiveness.
- Prepare the annual budget for the branch to ensure the branch has enough financial resources to carry out activities.
- Monitor changes affecting supply and demand, tracking market conditions, price trends, or future markets to identify opportunities and threats.
- Set individual sales targets with sales team to be able to monitor performance and achieve goals.
- Support sales team with necessary resources to ensure they are able to perform properly.
- Implement sales programs by developing sales action plans to achieve goals.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in sales operations of a business.
