Job Description

  • Research potential vendors.
  • Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers.
  • Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing.
  • Track orders to the warehouse receiving and ensure timely delivery.
  • Review quality of purchased products.
  • Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases.
  • Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices.
  • Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage.
  • Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases.
  • Create and maintain good relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Track incoming inventory, delivery arrival time, and note actual arrival time.
  • Organize and update database of suppliers, delivery times, invoices, and quantity of supplies.
  • Work with team members, supervisors, and purchasing manager to develop future purchasing plans and source potential relationships with vendors.
  • Collaborate with financial team members on contracts, invoicing, and other financial matters.
  • Managing the materials transportation till our warehouse.

Job Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agent or similar role.
  • Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors).
  • Hands-on experience with purchasing software (e.g. Motakamel)
  • Understanding of supply chain procedures.
  • Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Able to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • BSc in Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field.
