Job Description

Brief

We are seeking a highly skilled, professional technical manager to oversee all technical matters company wide and manage our technical support team. You will work collaboratively with clients/users, the technical team, and various staff and managers within the company to ensure the delivery, installation, after-sales service of all products in an efficient, timely manner. You should be able to provide technical, product and business knowledge to support sales process and strengthen customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, evaluate, and assign the technical staff to optimize technical operations and effectively perform delivery, installation, and after-sales services in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Work remotely and directly with technical leads and engineers during installation/maintenance calls and help guide them when needed to ensure proper support guidelines, policies and protocols are in action.
  • Provide expert level knowledge on all products to the technical staff, sales staff, and customers.
  • Design appealing and cost-effective planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programs and acquire PPM contracts with existing customers.
  • Manage the availability of necessary spare parts based on proper tracking and forecast of customer needs and established PPM contracts.
  • Develop in-house and in-field training and workshops for technical staff on products updates and upgrades.
  • Act as a key contact for technical matters with manufacturers and vendors.
  • Identify resources, conduct interviews, hire, and train new technical team members and do necessary performance appraisal.
  • Provide quality reports and assessments for all work produced by the technical department.

Job Requirements

  • BSc in Electrical or Biomedical Engineering
  • MSc/MA in business administration or relevant field
  • Proven experience as Technical Manager with 10+ years of experience in a senior management position.
  • Experience in Healthcare industry is required
  • Experience in operations and strong understanding of performance management principles
  • Systems thinker, customer focused, action oriented, innovative, and goal driven
  • Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, and finance is preferred.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Self-starter, team player with the ability to anticipate problems and take advantage of opportunities
  • Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills
  • Ability to convey a professional and positive image and attitude and demonstrate commitment to continued professional growth and development
