Job Description

  • To study the dynamics of the Cairo markets and make recommendations to the hotel based on strategic market analysis and best business practice.
  • To act in the best interest of properties to provide accurate and new insights into competitive environment.
  • To support the commercial interest of the hotel.
  • To support marketing and information systems department in the areas of customer identification and retention by establishing and maintaining research programs in order to explore new marketing strategies.
  • To analyze existing marketing strategies and make necessary recommendations to improve results and ROI.

Financial:

  • To assist both Director of Sales & Marketing with the preparation of the Hotel Annual Business Plan.
  • To support staff needs in other Divisions based on the hotel and anticipated business levels.
  • To have a good understanding of contribution margins for each product and work with respective heads of departments to maximize Operating results
  • To assure that marketing activities are financially driven, accountable and that an acceptable Return on Investment is achieved.
  • To provide timely analysis of the financial implications of the hotel performance.

Operational:

  • To research, direct, coordinate and assist with execution of approved marketing activities so as to secure new and repeat business for the hotel, thereby achieving and exceeding forecasted revenue figures in all revenue streams.
  • To measure, interpret, prioritize and evaluate the effectiveness of acquisition activities of the Business Development and marketing activities in effect, so as to achieve / exceed the objectives as outlined in the Annual Marketing and Business Plan.
  • To develop a marketing segmentation analysis, based on behavioral patterns and lifetime revenue potential.
  • To evaluate ROI and Break even points of marketing activities and programs and log results for future reference.
  • To maintain a perpetual analysis of key accounts customer trends including seasonality and life time customer value.
  • To have a thorough knowledge of competitive marketing, business strategies in Cairo market, destinations outside Cairo for specific business segments.
  • To assist the Director of Sales & Marketing in ensuring marketing communications activities are appropriate targeted and tracked according to the need analysis of the customer data.
  • To establish relationships with key government and private sector organizations to acquire relevant and accurate data.
  • To assist in the training of hotel employees to reinforce the importance of accurate and clean data so as to ensure the integrity of the database and data.
  • To project a warm, professional and welcome image.
  • To be demanding and critical when it comes to departmental standards.

Administration:

  • To ensure that an efficient and accurate filing system, manual as well as electronically is maintained at all times.
  • To ensure and coordinate with the operating departments that all data are up to date.
  • To ensure that all meetings are well planned, efficient and results oriented.
  • To keep and to safeguard all reports and analysis.

Job Requirements

  • It is a must for consideration to be able to communicate fluently in written and verbal English.
  • Outstanding computer knowledge including hotel technology of PMS Opera, GDS, CRS, OTA Extranets etc. are a must for this position.
  • You should have a strong sense of achievement, be goals oriented with the ability to develop standards of operations and strategic processes;
  • A Good all-rounder with analytical and numeric skills i.e.
  • A Good figure cruncher that can anticipate business needs and read situation, understanding the environment and respond accordingly.
  • We expect well-developed interpersonal, adaptive influencing and supervisory management skills.
