Job Description
- Conducting operational, financial and compliance review of operations per schedule provided.
- Coordinate and schedule audit activities with the appropriate staff and manage conducting assignments with in-depth analysis and ensure assignment progress within the time-lines set, also ensuring that audits are carried out in an efficient and cost-effective manner
- Understanding of business processes to identify control deficiencies, process issues, and business problems which is provide a good base in developing audit programs, checklists and guidelines for the effective execution of audits and ensure adherence.
- Supervising the staff which they have personal accountability for performing the work objectives within the scope of established and defined guidelines, audit programs, checklists and technical session before each assignment related to the audit universe.
- Mediate the conflicts faces the daily internal audit operation and reviewing the judgment & feasibility of decisions taken.
- Update the professional audit staff by the significant modification at the professional standards (Egyptian GAAP, and Professional Practices Framework of the IIA).
- Discuss audit observations with concerned staff, draft reports ensured of maintaining audit working papers and documentation, support Head of internal Audit in finalization of reports in all respect ensuring audit comments are clear, concise and focused on the root cause of the issue.
- Monitor the progress of the implementation of audit findings, follow up and report instances of non-implementation of recommendations and develop recommendations for new and revised procedures, policies and processes to improve operating and business performance and effective internal control.
- Undertake technical and personal surveys as allocated, to minimize risk exposure by discussing and agreeing requirements and recommendations with risk owners and report back.
- Determining techniques to be used at the special assignment and the appropriate professional staff.
- Revise the time sheets of his professional staff and discuss them if any issues founded before sending to the manager, which contribute in improving time management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in accounting or related.
- Manufacturing background is preferable.
- (6-8) years of experience at external audit (big 10 audit firms is preferable) and internal audit, at least (3) years at internal audit.
- CIA, CMA, CPA, ESAA candidate is an asset.
