Q.S. Engineer (Finishing Projects)

• To coordinate the activities of quantity surveyors and the administration of the prime contract and subcontracts on a company project.
• To ensure that the administration of contracts by projects is carried out in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
• To prepare of subcontracts agreements and amendments thereto.
• To monitor the performance of awarded subcontracts, checking, agreeing, and certifying monthly payments and final accounts.
• To supervise the re-measurement of works where appropriate.
• To assist with review and settlement of claims raised by subcontractors or suppliers.
• To assist with the preparation of change orders to the prime contract between company and client.
• To assist with the progress payment applications.
• To coordinate the monthly reports and statistics of the contractors.
• To prepare contract schedules and monitoring progress.

Responsible for:

• Certification of works.
• Valuation and agreement of any variations to contract.
• Project cost forecasting.
• Preparation and agreement of final accounts.
• Technical and practical knowledge of all phases of contract development.
• Award, administration and closeout relating to a multi-discipline construction project.
