Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
- Participates in setting the company,s strategy and cascades it down the yearly supply chain plan in coordination with the Operations Director. Monitors & Reports results to Top Management.
- Prepares the annual budget and breakdown, Obtains management approval. Monitors compliance and reports deviation.
- Sets the yearly objectives for his direct reports, (i.e. Logistics Manager, Warehousing Supervisors, and Senior Purchasing Officer).
- Oversees implementation and ensures alignment with plans.
- Develops and Updates AlManar,s Operations Manual (SOPs) in adherence to standards, industry best practices, regulations, and/ or laws. Ensures compliance with developed Manuals.
- Reviews existing processes and highlights opportunities for streamlining activities across processes to optimize operations.
- Ensures timely and accurate implementation.
- Negotiates deals, contractual and payment terms with suppliers to ensure optimizing costs in coordination with the finance department.
- Ensures suppliers list is created and updated periodically. Directs the purchasing officer to finalize the deals.
- Monitors and Reviews warehouses transactions, ensures ERP system is updated with timely with the accurate stock levels and Enforces compliance with warehousing policies and procedures.
- Approves the Inbound and Outbound Logistics Plan, Oversees and Guides implementation with the custom release specialist and fleet supervisor to ensure proper utilization and protection of the company,s assets (Fleet and products).
- Networks with vendors, suppliers and logistics firms to build strong partnerships. Updates preferred suppliers lists accordingly.
- Liaises with the plant manager to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Prepares and presents a consolidated monthly report highlighting planned versus actual achievements, providing recommendations for improved performance.
- Ensures that all corrective actions are taken and implemented in a timely manner.
- Conducts appraisals for his direct reports and sets development plans for his team.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor,s degree in Engineering or other related discipline.
- A specialized Supply Chain Diploma is a plus.
- 10-15 years experience in Supply Chain, with at least 3 years in a similar management position.
