Job Description
Common duties include:
- Planning and evaluating the work of an R&D team
- Managing new product development projects
- Staying up-to-date with industry technological developments
- Conducting research on new product development possibilities and consumer tastes
- Providing recommendations to other departments on launching new products
- Ensuring the work of the R&D department does not exceed budgets
- Working with operations staff to ensure new products are compatible with current manufacturing processes
Job Requirements
- Preferred MS in Food Science, Food Chemistry or Agricultural Engineer
- Previous experience in potatoes, Palms or citrus
- Demonstrated capability in initiating and executing change
- Demonstrated leadership, strategic capabilities and management experience in technology and/or business
