Hi there. We're on the lookout for a rockstar VP of Technology to join our team. Here are the mission and outcomes you're expected to achieve:
Mission
To oversee the product development long-term vision and manage its roadmap, while delivering results with details on a scrum framework based on scientific experimentation and continuous testing of hypotheses.
Outcomes
- Study the market and team’s needs and present a 6-month comprehensive Product Development Roadmap by end of month 1
- Release a stable Ionic version of the existing app by the end of month 2
- Launch Android and iOS native apps by end of month 4
- Launch a web version of the platform and optimize for top SEO results by end of month 6
- Track and optimize conversion rates from Downloads to Bookings to 10%, from Downloads to Match Joined to 15% through UI/UX and other product enhancements by end of month 3
- Topgrade the development team by end of month 6
- Hire a team of A player native developers by end of month 2
- Hire an A player PHP developer by end of month 3
- Migrate servers from DigitalOcean to AWS by end of month 6
- Implement Security and Backup routines and automations by end of month 4
- Deliver a monthly report on product development progress and a monthly plan for the upcoming enhancements
Job Requirements
You may be a good fit if:
- You have at least 2-5 years of experience in software product management, with a proven track record of shipping impactful products. Social and game mechanics experience is a bonus.
- You are comfortable operating in an agile environment, working closely with programmers & designers.
- You have an understanding of how to drive end-user behavior change through software.
- You can think in terms of the big picture but deliver on the details.
- You have a nose for great products, and advocate for new features with qualitative and quantitative reasoning.
- You do whatever it takes to make your product and team successful, whether that means writing a QA plan or hunting down the root cause of a user’s frustration.
- You can turn incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs into solid action plans
- You communicate with empathy and exceptional precision.
- You are technical enough to ask engineers good questions about architecture and product decisions alike.
- Beyond just shipping new products, you obsess about continuous product improvement.
