Job Description
- Perform detailed technical evaluation/review of the tender documents (Specs, Drawings, Bill of Quantities [BOQ]) to identify any deviations or conflicts, and ensure that any inquiries or clarifications (Request for Information- RFI) are raised well to the client through the Commercial department
- Divide the project into packages, create Request for Quotation (RFQ), contact suppliers and subcontractor to obtain price offers, conduct comparison studies for suppliers’ and subcontractors’ quotations, and develop cost estimation in response to the client’s Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and the client’s specific requirement
- Undertake Quantity Survey (QS) to calculate the quantities required of each material/ item, and conduct risk assessment/analysis, whenever required, for cost estimation and analysis.
- Communicate with the Civil tendering team any inquiries related to the pricing of civil-related items/materials to reflect relevant information on the cost estimation and analysis of electrical projects; and with the Procurement department to obtain updated prices about materials/items (whenever needed).
- Conduct site visits (once for each project) to understand the project nature and obtain information needed for accurate cost estimation.
- Coordinate with the Planning department in the formulation of the project time schedule through providing all related technical information to reflect it in the overall project plan.
- Provide technical and financial summary reports for the project and create relevant data sheet
- Perform value engineering for tenders based on owner requirements (whenever required).
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Management courses is a plus.
- 3-6 years of related work experience.
- On-site experience is a plus.
