Job Description
- The Field Maintenance Technician is typically assigned to work with resource (hardware/software) readiness,fulfillment & assurance. This is the main element of the Field Maintenance activities in an operations organization.
- The Field Maintenance Technician is responsible for the Operation & Maintenance(Preventive/Corrective/Planned maintenance) and stability of the site equipment such as ALU, Huawei, NSN, TYCO and Oscilliquartz.
Job Requirements
- Knowledge & hands-on experience in PDH, SDH & DWDM.
- Good knowledge of the resource topology of optical fiber networks.
- Good knowledge and hands-on experience with Alcatel OMSN & DWDM(1660, 1662, 1678, 1830…..)
- Good Knowledge and hands-on experience with Huawei OSN & DWDM (1500, 2500, 3500, 1800, 6800, 8800….).
- Good Knowledge and hands-on experience with NSN (Hi T7030, Hi T7300, Hi T7500……).
- Hands-on experience on how to login different transmission shelves using craft terminal SW and web based applications.
- Hands-on experience in using different test equipment (multi meter, optical power meter, SDH & Ethernet analyzers…..)
- Hands on experience in troubleshooting and familiar using tools like Krone punch tool and RJ crimping tool
- Hands on experience with the synchronization equipment (SSU & PRC)
- Excellent knowledge of network operations and maintenance routines.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Minimum two years of experience.
- Technical Telecom or Electrical diploma is a must.
- Valid Driving License.
- Training certificates in related fields is a plus.
- Ability to be relocated in any city as per the work requirements
- Be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Be prepared to work on 24x7 bases.
- Flexible and responsive to changing work patterns and demands.
- Able to work as a member of a team.
- Open approach to solving problems and dealing with new proposals.
- Must be able to work to tight time scales.
- Analytical and investigative abilities.
- Be prepared to be involved in network related emergency handling activities.
