Job Description

  • Manage the portfolio of key airline accounts whilst building strong business relationships
  • Negotiate and contract preferential commercial deals and rates ensuring we always have the best rates in the industry
  • Ensure we have full fare content (leisure and corporate) with all airline partners
  • Ensure all commercial deals are maximized to exceed targets
  • Securing additional revenue opportunities through partnership agreements, tactical activity and exclusive fares
  • Analyze sales performance of airline partners and ensure the business is up to date with sales performance, issues and opportunities
  • Monitor sales performance to get best pricing and maximize margin
  • Work with the commercial team/manager to recommend and set air pricing levels based on competitor analysis, sales trends, booking data and revenue goals
  • Liaising with all other functions across the business including Ticketing, BSP, Reservations and Operations to ensure best practice and highlight any potential efficiencies
  • React to any Aviation issues that arise, and liaise with all relevant departments ensuing correct information is passed to the business and adopt collaborative working
  • Ensure airfare tactical offers are promoted in an effective and timely manner to our network of Travel Counsellors, by liaising with the destination and promotion and reservations teams
  • Oversee the distribution of all airfares through the GDS and in house systems
  • Oversee the aviation development and distribution strategy working closely with IT to ensure we are ahead of competition and looking to the future

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years previous experience in a similar role.
  • Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent account management and relationship skills.
  • Existing contacts within the aviation industry.
  • GDS trained at an advanced level (preferably Amadeus & Galileo).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to details.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Microsoft Office.
  • Teamwork player,
