Job Description
- Lead, coordinate & monitor the different activities of the procurement team according to the company's strategy.
- Track and control expenses and expenditures and build a culture of long-term savings to improve effectiveness.
- Prepare procurement plans according to the projects schedules and BOQs.
- Represent the company in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.
- locate and negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients.
- Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies.
- Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.
- Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history
- Review catalogs, industry/field periodicals, directories, trade journals to locate necessary goods and services.
- Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries.
Job Requirements
- B.Cs degree in Civil or Architecture Engineering.
- 3-4 proven years of experience in the procurement field.
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques and strategies as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market.
- Talented in negotiations and networking.
- Aptitude in decision-making.
- Strong leadership capabilities.
