Job Description

Reports to:

  • Operations Manager

Purpose:

  • Responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and linking the functions of Purchasing, Logistics and Warehousing; to ensure acquiring all planned material requirements from the best possible suppliers, handling its transportation, storage and delivering the final product to our clients in a smooth and timely manner.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Implements a fully functional supply chain management infrastructure, ensuring all
    raw materials are in stock, at the highest quality and at the most competitive price.
  • Secures the best sources of supply resources, for raw materials, equipment, spare parts, supplies, and services
  • Secures and analyzes quotations, negotiates prices and terms with suppliers, and
    recommends suppliers with respect to cost, quality and timely delivery
    competitiveness
  • Establishes long term relationships and strategic partnerships in order to achieve overall success and add value to the procurement process
  • Explores new suppliers on an ongoing basis to create a database of high quality Vs. Price alternatives.
  • Visits suppliers’ facilities to qualify them as new sources and assists in the resolution of production, design, quality and/or delivery problems.
  • Maintains purchasing information and records, for ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with established retention policies. Processes purchasing information and contracts for the purpose of distributing, tracking, and sharing information.
  • Responds to all needs requests from departments and fulfills purchase requests for raw materials, supplies, equipment, and resources, if not already available in stock, as necessary to support the operational objectives and requirements.
  • Manages the general operations of a highly functioning warehouse environment. This includes managing the receiving, tracking, storage, and distribution of all raw materials, goods, equipment, and Finished products.
  • Supervises the efficient processing of incoming deliveries and shipment, freight, and other third party delivery services. Makes recommendations for equipment and process upgrades to maintain smooth and efficient distribution and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Completes the approval process of bills and invoices for materials received and services performed. Ensures that invoices are accurate, complete, and paid in a timely manner.
  • Collaborates with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems and processes, including global scheduling and Sales.
  • Oversees negotiation of transportation rates and services; ensures accuracy of billing.
  • Maintains an accurate Cost of Goods number for each finished goods.
  • Manages warehouse budget and controls warehouse costs to ensure profitability

Working Conditions:

  • Six days a week

Job Requirements

Minimum education requirement:

  • Bachelor degree in a relevant field
  • Post Graduate Studies is a plus

Experience:

  • Five to Seven years of experience in Purchasing and Supply Chain

Skills:

  • Very Good level of English Language.
  • Very Good Communication Skills
  • Very Good Leadership skills
  • Attentive to details
  • Excellent Time Management Skills
  • Very Good knowledge of all MS. Applications (Word, Excel)
