Job Description
- Interfaces with Product Line Planning Manager to plan and prioritize purchasing activities.
- Reviews planned orders, receive requisitions for purchased items, and manages approval process.
- Transmits and prioritizes approved purchase orders and supporting documents to the supplier.
- Tracks order acknowledgment, prepares and communicates shortage and backlog reports, and provides visibility of potential interruptions to internal customers.
- Tracks orders and confirms system lead times, delivery dates, and costs.
- Reviews, updates, and maintains purchase orders until they are closed.
- Ensures orders adhere to supplier agreements and contracts; reports nonconformance.
- Leads finance and logistics staff in resolving reception and invoice discrepancies.
- Identifies opportunities and implements actions to achieve efficiencies.
- Contributes to consolidation, reduction, and rationalization of the local supplier base.
- Responsible for all purchasing activities of raw materials from the international market.
- Issue PO’s of manufacturing requirements plan of raw materials.
- Analyze offers according to organization policy.
- Review and approve material sources.
- Carrying out all the pricing negotiations to select the best offer.
- Negotiate the terms of payment and shipment.
- Negotiate supplier contracts, negotiate purchase agreements
- Follow up & Handle all procedures with financial institutions, suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, warehouses, Quality Control.
- Analyze changes or new issues in materials and supply to reduce costs and improve quality.
